A member asked:

9mos old ds has mild cough and colds for 2 wks(no fever). doc prescribed antibiotic, salbutamol & antihistamine. is it ok to take all 3 esp antibiotic?

Yes: It is ok to take all three. The antihistamine will address any allergic contribution to the cough, the antibiotic will treat what may be a bronchitis and the salbutamol will help with the wheezing and airway irritability caused by the condition.

Yes: It is fine to take them all, antibiotics aren't prescribed to reduce fever, and can be prescribed in absence of fever too, they are meant to treat infection, which your baby might have as per the pediatrician 's judgement, best wishes
