Not related: Pap smears are done to prevent cervical cancer. The idea is to detect abnormalities long before cancer occurs. Cervical cancer is caused by the sexually transmitted HPV virus so it is not something based on family history. It is also not related to PCOS. Typically the first pap is done after age 21. Your obgyn can help you with PCOS and give you options for cycle regulation
