Spasm: This may well be pylorospasm-a spasm of the outlet of the stomach. It causes discomfort just below the sternum and may last minutes at a time. There are antispasmodic medications that may prevent pylorospasm, but to do this you would have to take the medication daily. You could take it only for episodes that persist for longer periods. Discuss this your MD or see a gastroenterologist for evaluati
