A member asked:

Why do all my joints seem to crack (painless) and how do i stop/reduce it from happening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No one knows: There are a number of theories about why joints 'crack' or cavitate, but none have been proven. Some think that it is caused by small bubbles in the joint space, others believe it is caused by 'microadhesions.' Nothing needs to be done to stop it unless it starts causing you discomfort.
