A member asked:

My 6 year old daughter has started urinating very frequent since she had surgery a few weeks ago. she had adenoids removed and a second set of tubes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs pediatrician.: It may be just coincidence that the urinary frequency has been noted since her recent ENT surgery, however she deserves to be seen by her pediatrician to rule out a potential urinary infection. Sometimes post-op pain medications can predispose to constipation, and constipated girls are more susceptible to urinary tract infections. Pediatric evaluation will surely involve inspecting her urine also.
