Suboxone 6wks: After having been off suboxone for 6 wks it should be out of someone's system. I would recommend the patient talking to the prescriber before stopping it and also letting the surgeon know that they have been on suboxone. It may not be necessary to stop the medicine for the surgery and being off it and being in pain with opioids in hand could increase chance of relapse.
