Get tested: HIV infection can be treated and does not necessarily always turn in to AIDS if you get on proper medications. In some people it progresses rapidly in a year or two and in others it can take 10 years or more. If you are HIV positive please seek treatment. People with HIV can have a normal lifespan on appropriate medications.
