Treat red throat: a red throat can be 1 to 10. Usually the throat is red because of drainage from your nose into the throat. Clear the nose/sinuses - see www.grossaninstitute.com Warm green tea heals a red throat; however iced drinks make the throat more comfortable. If it is a ten, go for the ice.

Info given limited: to offer wisdom. The mouth & pharyngeal is always pink/red (problem if not) from the red blood cells in all the microscopic capillaries within these mucous membrane tissues. The high blood flow, including white blood cells, is precisely why these tissues are usually so resistant to infection & heal rapidly. You have offered qualitative symptoms but not enough information to offer a useful answer.

Post nasal drip : Try Flonase over the counter 2 times a day. When the drainage stops the pain will as well. You may want to get allergies tested as well.
