Team Approach!: Believe it or not, your problem is extremely common; unfortunately the solution is less common, since many patients try to ignore it. The bruxism is probably related to you sleep apnea, and effective treatment needs to involve both you sleep physician and your dentist working together. Ask your providers, find a team that works together on this, and make it happen: It will change you life :)

Muscle pain: Probably caused by bruxism. You may need an occlusal orthotic. See your Dentist.

Muscle spasm: Try to relax. Tension makes it worse. If your pain gets worse, see a TMJ dentist.
