Likely viral: Assuming that this is a recent onset, the constellation of symptoms sounds like a viral illness. The lymph nodes in the axillae (arm pits) and in the throat are busy fighting the intruder (the virus), which causes the pain. She should drink lots of fluids, get some rest, and take advil (ibuprofen) or Aspirin for the pain. If it persists past a week or so, she should see her doctor.

PROBABLY HAS AN INFE: Needs a culture of her throat, CBC and probably anti-biotics.

Need more info: Does she own or been in contact with a cat? Do you live on a farm? Has she scratched herself? Does she have fever? Recommend strongly that she see a doctor and have this examined.
