A member asked:

My 13 year old daughter gets swollen glands a lot, is this normal? she doesn't have a sore throat or earache or anything else with it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most likely benign.: First, I have to know what is swollen: glands (such as salivary) or lymph nodes. Then, how often are they swollen, and for how long each time? Are they always in the same place, and are they painful if you touch them? She has no sore throat or earache, but does she have fever? Chills? Unusual sweating? Has she lost weight? If she truly has no symptoms, ok. But if she has, she should see her doctor.
