Wound: face has very good healing . superficial wounds should heal with in a week although the scarring will take time to get less noticeable ( months).stitches on the skin come out on the day 7. Deep sutures are absorbable and stay in for couple of months ( you don't need to worry about them) before dissolving.

Few days: Wounds in this area usually heals very quickly, as the wound get sealed in few days but full strength takes longer time. The things that can delay healing are poor nutrition, smoking, wound infection and immune suppressing medications

Usually: a week to ten days...although the scar may be visible for much longer. BTW stitches done by ER M.D.'s are usually just as effective as those done by surgeons in the Operating Room .... Hope this is helpful Dr Z
