A member asked:

How is esophogus cancer diagnosed? is endoscopy an only test for that purpose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

More than one tests: Esophageal cancer can be diagnoses in mulpiple different ways/ using various tests. Patients symptoms is the first indication; patients have hard time swallowing solids(liquids can go down even through a narrowed passage but solids get stuck if there is a growth/tumor inside. The inside can be best seen with an endoscopic examination, but it can also be seen with a Barium swallow test or CT scan.
