Don't: Don't add infant cereal to your child's bottles. If she is ready to take baby foods, always give them with a spoon. She needs to learn to *eat* her foods, not *drink* them. At first, she may just take a spoonful or two, but it will gradually increase as she learns how to move the food off of the spoon. Most babies learn to sleep by having a regular routine and falling asleep in their own crib.

Don't: A baby wakes to feed at night because you fed it at bedtime.Babies who are fed at bedtime don't learn to self settle. They require refeeding when they aleart naturally in the night and need the feed to complete the sleep entry process. They don't need more food. They need to switch to feeds on wakeing and settling to sleep without.Kids over 10 lb don't need to be fed at night.
