Just prescribed levaquin after augmentin failed for a sinus infection, i'm nervous to take it, is it safe? dr said it will clear the infection well.

Depends: Levaquin does have side effects which include increased risk in tendon tear, cardiac issues, and photosensitivity. It is relatively safe if one takes the proper precaution. On the other hand, if your sinus problem had no response to Augmentin at all, I would reassess the diagnosis. Did you have a CT sinus to rule out sinus opening obstruction after Augmentin failed? Consider ENT consult.
