I take 80mg propanalol a day and i have just found out i am pregnant. what are the risks and can i wean myself off it? i am roughly around 7 weeks.

Not clear: Propanolol is pregnancy category C, which means there are no studies in humans. Animal studies show risks at higher doses, although propanolol is also used to eg treat some heart conditions in fetus'. It really depends on what condition you're taking it for, and how that balances against the potential possible risk. Talk to you OB. Do not wean without consulting a professional.

On Propranolol LA 80mg for years. On it for benign tremors, migraines, PVCs & ^BP. Urticaria lately & Dr thinks may be from Propranolol. He wants me to take Cardizem LA 120mg instead. He said no need to wean off Propranolol just start Cardizem. Ok?
