A member asked:

What to do if i am pregnant first trimester and am taking about 40 mg of propranolol daily?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sectral (acebutolol): Propranolol is Class C (relatively contraindicated) especially for the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. You can switch to acetabutolol (Sectral) which is Class B (safer) especially in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters. It would be better to be back on Propranolol after delivery if you plan to breast feed.
