A member asked:

After 2 shots of depo, i stopped for fear of becoming sterile. i got my period back immediately. am i likely i to become pregnant sooner than 12 mos?

Yes: When you stop birth control of any kind, the chance of getting pregnant if you're sexually active is very high. There is no 12 month rule with depo. For some people it takes 12 months to begin cycling again, but for others it may take only 2 weeks. Use some form of birth control every time you come in contact with a penis if you don't want to get pregnant.
