I have colitis. every so often when i bend down e.g to tie shoes up i get a pain in lower tummy and have stand back up. is it connected???

Maybe: The pain may be from just kinking a muscle or section of bowel when you bend too far or too large in the tummy. Depending on the type of colitis you have, it might be from pressure on abscesses or adhesions.

Colitis: It may be . is it all the time or only sometimes? Are you on medication for Crohn's Would follow up with gastroenterologist and make sure that your disease is well controlled and that this does not represent residual disease. Other areas to consider are UTI or vaginitis and of course appendix. f/u/ w/ doc.
