Reports are yes : Some reports show that using Testosterone can show up as a false positive on the ETG test. Since the ETG is designed to show if you have had a drink in the last several days, it is sensitive enough to pick up on small metabolites from the testosterone.

EGT TESt: 37 M asks can a testosterone injection cause a + ETG test. ANS: not likely but a number of things can-other than drinking alcohol. Check with your local lab doing the test to find out what might give false + test in your area.
