Was there: any trauma? More information is needed. It is unusual to have a single knuckle (finger JOINT) enlargement without trauma..(arthritic disorders usually invlove multiple joints. In any case you need to have an xray and your PCP (Primary Care Provider) can order this and proceed from the results! Hope this helps! Dr Z
