Swollen knuckle: Swollen knuckles usually happens with inflammation, Osteoarthritis causes the finger knuckles to swell. It may or may not be painful, usually does not completely resolves. Other reasons for swelling in that area may be gout and rheumatoid arthritis.

See a doctor: You need to see adoctor and may be get some blood tests done. This could be a few things and a doctor needs to see this and evaluate your finger.
