False test? Recheck: HSV usually is not part of routine STD testing, so your partner might have been infected 12 years ago. Or his current test is false; the HSV2 blood tests are often mistaken, especially if only weakly positive. Your BF should see an STD or infectious diseases expert for further evaluation and perhaps repeat testing. Good luck!
