Fast heart sugar: 18F from AL asks: Why does my heart race when I eat sugar? ANS: without knowing more of your medical history and examining you it is difficult to answer this. Normally a sugar load leads to a rise in insulin which drives sugar into cells and K follows. A lower blood K can affect heart rate. Or you really like sugar and get a kick from it. A normal response of your sympathetic nervous system.
