Any thoughts on fanapt for a diabetic with cardiac disease...or invega (paliperidone)..will they change heart rythym or raise sugar level..not familiar w/ them?

Fanapt/Invega: Yes. Fanapt could cause cardiac arrythmias and high blood sugar. Invega (paliperidone) could cause high blood sugar. The incidence of these side effects is less common or rare.

Antipsychotics: Invega - frequency of ^'ed fasting glucose is not reported. Tachycardia may occur in up to 14%. Bradycardia, bundle branch block, first-degree atrioventricular block/atrioventricular block, conduction disorder, electrocardiogram QT prolonged, hypertension, orthostatic hypotension, sinus arrhythmia, sinus tachycardia may occur in 1 to 10%.
