Learn to reduce risk: Your concerns are understandable since it is known that obesity (as well as increased maternal age, or pre-existing diabetes, hypertension, or hypothyroidism etc..)does increase obstetrical risks for a mother and her unborn baby. An obstetrical nutritionist and a materno-fetal-medicine specialist who cares specifically for obese pregnant women should be able to advise you + answer your questions.
