GFR 58, worry?: You have stage 3 chronic kidney disease and you need to be seen by a nephrologist (n) to manage your care. At stage 3, you may have a low hemoglobin and elevation of your parathyroid hormone level. You also need to find the cause of your chronic kidney disease (ckd). With proper control of your BP and glucose, if you have diabetes, by a n, you may not suffer any further loss of kidney function.
