The sleep you "get": from Mirtazapine is , in actuality, a SIDE EFFECT of the pill which is a fairly strong ANTI-DEPRESSANT! The sleepiness should pass.... I hope this answers your question! BTW Mirtazapine is very useful in the early treatment of insomnia associated WITH Depression and THAT may have been the rationale in your case! Dr Z
