Taking gaviscon to get off prilosec. now having light colored stools. is that normal?

Light color stool: Light colored or tan colored softish stools are seen in more rapid transit of fecal material through the intestinal tract. I would think that the gaviscon has a lot to do with it in your case and that the stool would revert to normal color if you discontinued it. You could take zantac or pepcid instead if you're bothered by the light colored stools.
