Many possibilities: This has nothing to do with tight underwear. The usual cause of an inflamed lymph node in the groin is an infection of the leg or foot on the same side, as minor as ingrown toenail. Cat scratch disease is common if exposed to cats. If at risk for STDs, syphilis, herpes, and others could be possible, especailly if you have genital sores, discharge, etc. Redness etc maybe serious; see a doctor ASAP.
