Mirena (levonorgestrel): No there is no increased risk of having twins once an iud is removed. Pregnancy rates are effected by age. As a woman gets older she has a harder time getting pregnant and also very importantly, a harder time not miscarrying (keeping) the pregnancy. Both of these factors are due to the age of the egg.
