Can a benign lipoma on the shoulder that has been growing and became painful turn into cancerous?

Unlikely but it shou: Lipomas are benign and often remain stable in size. Anything that is growing in size should be removed, just to be certain that it does not contain Cancer deep inside of this apparently benign lesion.
