3 weeks in: Nuvaring should be placed in the vagina for 21 days and then removed for 7. If you have had it in for 21 days then it is time to remove it for your 7 day break. When used correctly it is very effective. If you have deviated from the standard use then use condoms for two weeks to avoid any pregnancy scares.
