One cycle: Scientifically speaking, you are covered, but, most docs will recommend waiting until you start your next cycle to have unprotected intercourse. Remember tho, NuvaRing does not stop stds. Also, there is a 1-2 percent failure rate when used perfectly. If one hundred girls started NuvaRing today, 2 will still get pregnant. Use condoms always as wel, l for pregnancy and std prevention.
