A member asked:

My ears hurt really bad, i went to an ent n he told me they were healing. but how can it hurt more than before i started antibiotics? what can i do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes you can do more: There are other medicines that your ENT doctor can provide. But let him know that your pain is getting worse. You could also use pain killers along with antibiotics. Sometimes the first line of antibiotics does not work which may need a change of antibiotics after an adequate trial of 3-4 days. Decongestant medication can also help to reduce the swelling inside the Eustachion tube, that will help.
