No: but it will help the nutrition of the breast feeding mother however the absorption of iron from breast milk is much more bioavailable in breast milk as compared to the cows milk formula so exclusively breast fed babies generally dont get aneamic till they are 6-9 months old and their iron requirment increases and they need extra iron in iron fortified cereals
