Linear opacity: I presume this is description of a chest X ray. this description of finding in the X-ray not a diagnosis, so this can form huge number of causes depend on your condition and other investigations. Generally speaking this finding was historically used to describe lung disease in coal workers, they can also be seen in patients with chronic heart failure, can also be seen in viral pneumonia, etc

Nonspecific: This is a non-specific finding on xray. It can signify that you just recently got over a cough, or may signify that you accidently aspirated while drinking. If you have been ill recently, and your doctor ordered an xray it was likely to determine if you had pneumonia. A linear opacity by itself is not something to be worried about.
