It's possible: ESR 43 is high for sinus infection. However, it could interfere with knowing actual ESR associated with your main problem. Discuss with your doctor, but my bet is that s/he will suggest repeating the ESR when the sinusitis has been gone a few weeks. In the meantime, the ESR level itself is harmless; improvement in joint pain (and maybe other symptoms) probably is more imporant.
