GERD: is usually treated VERY successfully with medication(s) However if you are already taking a Proton Pump Inhibitor (eg: PRILOSEC) AND a H-2 blocker (eg ZANTAC) and are still having symptoms there is a surgical procedure which may attempt "cure" . The FIRST STEP is a visit to a Board Certified Gastroenterologist!! Good luck and I hope this helps! Dr Z
