Excema: Yes, it could be asthma. Please take your daughter to a Pediatrician. She may or may not have excema - this will depend on the doctor's decision. Hope all goes well!

Maybe/not: There is a condition called vocal cord dysfunction where the vocal cords can spasm and actually slow breathing.It is often seen in those who don't ever wheeze but have air hunger quite abruptly and it masquesraids as asthma. An ENT may be able to help you sort this out.Treatment involves teaching the kid to relax & breathe often with the aid of an occupational therapist.
