Some basics: Steroid creams when properly used are a mainstay of eczema care. The creams/lotion come in various strengths. Your doc can help you decide what strength would be safe to use & what skin issues would need it. A skin care program based on use of non-steroid creams, bathing, moisturizers should also be worked out. There are PGE inhibitors that can help but these have other potential drawbacks.

Moisturize: Avoid known triggers of asthma and eczema, include food panel allergy testing and use a moisturizer multiple times per day, a soap for sensitive skin along with the steroid cream to improve response.
