Pigment loss: This apparent loss of pigment can occur following an inflammatory disorder of the skin in those whitened areas, but if they appeared without prior inflammation, it is consistent with vitiligo. This is an autoimmune disorder for which there are certain treatments. A dermatologist is best qualified to evaluate,advise and treat you.
