Yes could be pill: Hormones have a lot to do with headaches. Most patients who have migraine headaches stop having headaches once they go through menopause. It is possible that your body is adjusting. The good news is that the end result should be resolution of your headaches. However, since there is a pattern to your headaches, look for other factors such as nighttime medicine, caffeine withdrawal, etc.

While the precise: mechanism is not well-understood, changes in female reproductive hormones are frequently linked with headaches. Going on the pill can aggravate .... and so can going off. It is even not that surprising that it took several days to manifest itself. I would expect the headaches to recede within 2-3 weeks. Use simple analgesics and good hydration now; if persists, pursue Doc/Neurologist evaluation.
