Gum disease: Broad general term describing any of the inflammatory diseases and conditions that can adversely affect the hard and soft tissues that support the teeth. The earlier it iOS treated, the less chronic damage. Please see your Dentist immediately if you have any swelling, bleeding, pain, or discoloration. Your Dentist will assess and then decide to treat or to refer to a specialist Periodontist.
