Chicken pox/shingles: Since she was not yet vaccinated against chickenpox( usually at 1 year) if she has chickenpox now and it is mild that is not to worry about. But the virus then becomes dormant in your body and can reappear in later life as " shingles".

Unlikely to happen: There has been some suggestion that chickenpox under 3-4 months of age may not generate a firm immune response due to interferance by residual maternal antibodies.This could leave the kid susceptible to chickenpox later.If so it is quite rare & a kid at 9 months is unlikely to face this issue as their immune system is more mature.I think it is more likely people have applied the cpx label to often.

Possible but...: It is possible to be reinfected with chickenpox. But repeat infections are not common, and they tend to be less severe. This is even more true if your child receives the vaccine--which some pediatricians do still administer even after a true infection.
