May not help: Guaifenesin (mucinex) helps bring up mucus. It may help with your nose. However, irrigating your nose with saline is going to be much more effective. If it is an acute problem, you may take oxymetazoline nasal spray every 12 hours for 5 days, after irrigating your nose. You can also rinse your mouth with saline. If your problem lasts longer, see a physician.
