A member asked:

When foreign objects get in your eye (like an eyelash or cosmetics) what is its path out of the body? or does it leave the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Moves towards nose: Any object in the eye, including normal mucus moves towards the nose with the normal blinking of eyelids and the object will come out at the inner end of the eye. Small object may make through the nasolacrymal duct into the nose. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
