Not unusual: Sexual intercourse with penile penetration may be rougher more traumatic on the vaginal area compared to fingering and it isn't unusual for it to be uncomfortable if there isn't enough vaginal lubrication or if technique is an issue. It would be abnormal to have severe discomfort or bleeding from the genital area with intercourse. A gynecologist could evaluate and advise you if symptoms persist.
