Grinding: You are probably still grinding your teeth. The appliance does not stop you from grinding, but rather helps prevent damage to your teeth. It may be possible to adjust the appliance to help with your discomfort... Speak to your dentist.

Adjustments: If the appliance is for teeth grinding or sleep apnea, there may be some adjustments that can be made that will improve them. Your jaw should not hurt while wearing the appliance. Consult the dentist who made you the appliance and don't forget to bring it to the appointment. If the appliance hurts wearing it, do not wear it.
