Pushing too hard.: Ganglions can come in all sizes, colors, firmness levels and mobility levels. Sometimes, however the hardness is confused with an underlying bony projection. Either way, if the mass in question is located too close to a nerve, then one can expect numbness, tingling, burning or pain. To remove concern, have it evaluated by a specialist.
